Our Heritage
About The Sterling Manor
Our Story
Nestled in the heart of Somerset, The Sterling Manor represents the pinnacle of British hospitality. Originally built in the 18th century during Bath's architectural renaissance, our estate has welcomed royalty, legendary artists, and discerning travelers for generations.
The land upon which the Manor sits was once part of the Royal hunting grounds. In 1782, Lord Sterling commissioned the construction of the main house, employing the finest Bath stone and Italian marble. For over two centuries, it stood as a private aristocratic residence before being gracefully transitioned into the world-class hotel it is today.
Following an extensive multi-million-pound restoration in 2024, The Manor seamlessly blends its storied historic charm with the most sophisticated modern luxury. Our commitment is to provide an unforgettable, personalized experience for every guest, ensuring that your stay in Bath is truly historic.
